$143 Central Air Tip

We had the air conditioning guy over this week after about 15 years of the second floor never cooling properly. I was surprised to learn too much freon does not equal cooler house, it increases humidity in the house. Blasting gunk out of the coils with hose a few times a year is suggested too, had no idea.

We've also always closed the downstairs regisers to get more air upstairs. That only helps with older systems.

- Hose off coils on exterior unit 3x year.
- Freon pressure is related to humity in house.
- Open all registers in house.
- Change air filter every 60 days.

After following these steps the air flow dropped ten degrees.
